Marti McCurdy, owner and CEO of Spirit Electronics, is a veteran not only of the semiconductor business but also of the United States Air Force. Marti’s focus as CEO is to serve the aerospace and defense industry for high reliability components. She exercises her engineering knowledge of space qualified flows and sophisticated testing to deliver flight class devices. Throughout her career as a business owner and most recent position as VP, Marti’s goal is to bring her high standard of customer service and cultivated relationships to serve the aerospace sector she is so familiar with. Marti holds a current patent and is a published author in ultrasonic applications.
VP Strategic Business Development
Zef Malik is an industry veteran with more than 40 years of Semiconductor experience ranging from IC Manufacturing, Device Characterization, Test and Product Qualification. He was a founder of ICE/IQL Labs and then Silicon Turnkey Solutions, (STS) and remains a respected leader in deliverance for the Military Deep Space and high reliability market. Mr. Malik has extensive expertise in the areas of FPGAs, ASIC and RF technology.

Accounting & HR Manager
Casey O’Connor comes to Spirit Electronics with eight years of experience in business administration, accounting and human resources. Casey started her career as office manager in the retail industry; after a couple years she moved up to human resources, then branched out into recruiting and ultimately landed in accounting. Her varied experience serves her well as she handles the day-to-day office duties and accounting, as well as employee relations and human resources at Spirit.
Casey was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and spent 6 years in Flagstaff during and after college where she acquired an appreciation for hiking and all things outdoors.
Aaron Grote is a Process Analyst and manages internal IT Support at Spirit Electronics. Aaron is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, with 4 years experience in process improvement and automation in the healthcare and pharmacy industries. Aaron is excited to bring his knowledge and expertise to Spirit and the aerospace and electronics industry.
Aaron was born and raised in Phoenix, and is proud to live in the best city in the world.
Quality Document Analyst
Alyssa’s passion for quality in attention to detail and process improvement spans 10 years in the education technology and software industry. Her past 5 years focused on quality assurance testing and team growth, where she developed testing procedures for multiple product lines. Her skills specialize in analyzing quality and processes, and she particularly enjoys creatively solving problems on the job. She is excited to transition to the aerospace and electronics industry where she will focus on quality documentation, records, and process in support of the Spirit Electronics mission.
Her career also took her abroad to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni in Japan, where she assistant managed the library serving the base’s military families. Spirit’s own history as a veteran-owned business is particularly meaningful to her as a former military spouse.
Quality Assurance Analyst
Estefania is stepping into her dream job at Spirit working as our Quality Assurance Analyst. She began her quality career in the automotive industry, realizing she enjoyed her role in audits, process efficiency, and product quality assurance. Her professional career has also spanned accounting and human resources positions, giving her a unique perspective on how company roles combine to build an effective team. She is excited to lead the Spirit quality management system to new efficiencies and improvements to meet our customers’ needs for product reliability and timely delivery.
Estefania is originally from Ecuador and moved to Arizona after obtaining her bachelor’s in Management Engineering from Polytechnic Salesian University of Ecuador.
Brian Karraker has more than a decade in the Military and Aerospace industry and serves as the Warehouse Manager at Spirit Electronics. He started as a Warehouse Associate with Spirit and was quickly promoted to Warehouse Manager for his outstanding skill in controlling the quality and on-time delivery of the Spirit inventory management. Brian’s meticulous attention to detail ensures that Spirit Electronics meets all industry, ISO 9001 and AS9100C standards, and that our customers receive the highest quality product that meets or exceeds their specifications. Brian is instrumental in the design of the processes and streamlining the logistics of the warehouse, making it a first class facility. Brian manages the warehouse team members and coordinates with the Operations Manager for a smooth operation behind the warehouse doors.
Brian is married and has 2 daughters. He enjoys hunting, fishing, boating – well, anything outdoors!
Corbin Pearson has been a Warehouse Assistant with Spirit Electronics for 5 years. He expertly ensures our stock arrives and departs the warehouse dock meeting our customer requirements accurately and efficiently. Born in Reno, Corbin moved to Arizona at age 3 and grew up here in Phoenix. When not grounded by an ESD strap, he enjoys time relaxing with friends and family.
Karly Hemshrot has over four years of warehouse and inventory experience in different industries. Spirit is her first introduction to aerospace and electronics, and she is thrilled to experience first-hand the innovative and advanced technology that comes through Spirit’s doors.
Karly was born and raised in Phoenix, and when she is not working she spends most of her time having fun with her daughter.
SMI Account Representative
After serving honorably in the US Marine Corp as a helicopter mechanic, Thomas earned a Bachelors in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Masters in Forensic Psychology from Grand Canyon University. His educational background was integral to his success in helping veterans accomplish their educational goals for the past 6 years. He joined Spirit Electronics in October 2019, new to the aerospace and electronics industry, and excited to develop and maintain customer relationships. He enjoys CrossFit, hiking, and spending time with his family outdoors.
Senior Account Manager
Laura Bowling currently serves as Senior Distribution Account Representative for Spirit Electronics. She has more than 37 years in the electronics and aerospace industry. She worked for Siemens Corporation from 1980 until 1992 when she joined Spirit Electronics. Laura is the liaison between the customer and our franchised suppliers and provides prompt, courteous and solutions-oriented customer service. Laura leads the way for all account managers within Spirit with her incomparable ability to educate and cultivate the Spirit culture of kindness, respect, leadership and teamwork.
She is a native of Phoenix, AZ and enjoys the many opportunities that Arizona offers.
Strategic Account Manager
Patty Hannon has been an Arizona resident for over 30 years originally from Syracuse, New York . Patty was formerly a co-owner of OCM Recycle West in Tolleson, AZ. OCM Recycle West (OCM) is a small, woman-owned business servicing the Phoenix metropolitan area and greater Arizona. OCM’s mission is to Responsibly recycle electronic items, keeping as much as possible out of landfills, create employment for local area residents and help the local community.
She has traveled extensively all over the world in her Director of Strategic Customers role at Microsemi selling memory to the military. Patty served 6 years on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce and was Chair of the Board in 2016.
Patty currently sits on the board of Meals of Joy, a nonprofit organization that supplies affordable or free meals to our senior citizens in the Southwest Valley. She is on the Executive Board of Hope Community Services. Hope Community Services’ (formerly West Valley Child Crisis Center) mission is to create lasting solutions for children and families by providing innovative programs to foster safe and healthy communities within Arizona.
Patty was also a Honorary Commander for Luke Air Force Base and has graduated to the The Blue Blazer Squadron (BBS), an Alumni Association of the Honorary Commanders Committee of Fighter Country Partnership (FCP), that shall provide support for the men and women of Luke Air Force Base through FCP, and shall be the prominent volunteer force representing FCP in the community.
Strategic Account Manager
Sean Macdonald joined the Spirit Electronics team in July of 2018 as a Sales Associate. He brings with him a diverse background in professional sales, marketing, customer service, business development & management. Sean worked for Microsemi Corporation (formerly White Electronic Designs) as a Sales Associate for 8 years and then took a slight detour to open an award-winning restaurant in Mesa, AZ. Sean is excited to return to the world of microelectronics and to be on board with Spirit Electronics! In his role, Sean will be seeking out new opportunities and building relationships with our customers, while supporting their procurement and design needs.
Sean is an Arizona native and enjoys cooking, swimming, music and most of all, spending time with his wonderful family.
Senior Contracts Manager
Ivan Santana is a Senior Contracts Manager at Spirit Electronics, Inc. He has over 10 years of experience in distribution and supply chain. Ivan is responsible for customer interactions and communications and also works on all customer reporting and analytics. Ivan also is responsible for all new program implementations.
In 2005, Ivan obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University with a certificate in International Business. Ivan resides in Mesa, Arizona and has 3 children.
Senior Account Manager
Megan Downie has over 15 years of experience in customer service and business administration. In her current role at Spirit, Megan is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships. She strives to provide superior customer satisfaction through excellent communication and the capability to fulfill every need.
Born and raised in Chicago, Megan moved to Scottsdale in 2015 to enjoy the gorgeous weather and beautiful scenery.
Dan Jasinek joined the Spirit Electronics team as a Product Pricing Specialist in October 2018. He is new to the aerospace and electronics industry and excited to learn all aspects of it. Dan spent over 12 years in the furniture industry where he did everything from merchandising to accounting and operations. He is looking forward to building strong relationships with our suppliers and working closely with them to help Spirit Electronics grow.
Dan is a native Phoenician and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Product Pricing Specialist
Melissa Ramirez is a Pricing Product Specialist at Spirit Electronics. She joins the aerospace and electronics industry with 12 years of experience in International Trade (Import/Exports). Her passion for travel, geography, and global affairs led to a career in international ocean container shipping. As she transitions to aerospace and electronics, Melissa looks forward to bringing her vast knowledge of Customer RFQs, Bid and Contract Negotiations, and experience in global trade to Spirit Electronics. She will be responsible for growing business through RFQs/Bid process and building strong relationships with Suppliers.
Born and raised in Arizona, Melissa is a proud University of Arizona Alumni (Bear Down, Go Wildcats!), who enjoys the outdoors and traveling with her husband.
Product Pricing Specialist
As a Pricing Products Specialist at Spirit Electronics, Heather joins our team with 19 year of experience in international supply chain and logistics. She will be responsible for handling RFQ’s and bid request as well maintaining supplier communication. Heather is excited to expand her knowledge of the industry and is looking forward to contributing to the continuous growth of Spirit Electronics.
Product Pricing Specialist
Pam Santana is a native Arizonan with a 28-year career in the electronics and semiconductor industry with roles in materials management as well as estimating and project management. In 1992, Pam worked for the general contractor that built Motorola MOS 12. She went on to work for Suntron, supporting Honeywell and Boeing in the aerospace markets and White Electronics (Microsemi) supporting the Military aerospace market. Before joining Team Spirit, Pam worked for Hybrid Designs supporting customers such as Halliburton, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Viasat, and Honeywell in the extreme environment markets of the down hole oil industry as well as space and military.
Pam enjoys spending time with her children and two grandchildren as well as traveling across the continental U.S. and overseas.
