Marti McCurdy, owner and CEO of Spirit Electronics, is a veteran not only of the semiconductor business but also of the United States Air Force. Marti’s focus as CEO is to serve the aerospace and defense industry for high reliability components. She exercises her engineering knowledge of space qualified flows and sophisticated testing to deliver flight class devices. Throughout her career as a business owner and most recent position as VP, Marti’s goal is to bring her high standard of customer service and cultivated relationships to serve the aerospace sector she is so familiar with. Marti holds a current patent and is a published author in ultrasonic applications.
VP Strategic Business Development
Zef Malik is an industry veteran with more than 40 years of Semiconductor experience ranging from IC Manufacturing, Device Characterization, Test and Product Qualification. He was a founder of ISE/IQL Labs and then Silicon Turnkey Solutions, (STS) and remains a respected leader in deliverance for the Military Deep Space and high reliability market. Mr. Malik has extensive expertise in the areas of FPGAs, ASIC and RF technology.

Marketing Asst. & Tech Writer
Alyssa’s attention to detail and love of creative problem solving spans 12 years in education technology and now aerospace. She joined Spirit as a Quality Analyst managing documentation and process improvement. Her skills specialize in writing and communication, and she is excited to transition to marketing and technical writing for Spirit. She is also the producer of Spirit’s podcast Behind the Screen, and enjoys content creation.
Spirit’s history as a veteran-owned business is particularly meaningful to her as a former military spouse. After moving around the world, she has settled back home in Phoenix, AZ, with her family.
Asad moved to the United States in August 2020 after completing an undergraduate law degree from the University of London. Looking to expand his horizons, he relocated to Phoenix to pursue an alternative career path in accounting and human resources. He brings a multicultural perspective to Spirit and hopes to utilize his skills and channel them towards finance.
When he’s not enjoying traveling, Asad enjoys watching classic films and listening to music.
Accounting & HR Manager
Casey comes to Spirit Electronics with eight years of experience in business administration, accounting and human resources. Casey started her career as office manager in the retail industry; after a couple years she moved up to human resources, then branched out into recruiting and ultimately landed in accounting. Her varied experience serves her well as she handles the day-to-day office duties and accounting, as well as employee relations and human resources at Spirit.
Casey was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and spent 6 years in Flagstaff during and after college where she acquired an appreciation for hiking and all things outdoors.
Director of Finance
Chris joins the Spirit team with 12 years financial management experience serving government agencies and multi-million dollar corporations across a diverse set of industries in positions ranging from Financial Controller to Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. Chris is a trusted financial expert with a history of building financial infrastructures, designing reporting systems, and leading fiscal operations that enable organizational growth. Chris is also a citizen Airman with 23 years of service to the U.S. Air Force. During his military tenure, Chris gained extensive experience leading cross-functional teams on multi-million dollar projects. Chris holds the rank of Chief Master Sergeant, which by federal law, represents the top 1% of the Air Force’s enlisted corps. Most recently, Chris completed an active duty tour where he served as part of the command team leading an organization of 200+ military and civilian employees. He also served on an executive council that drove policy for a military enterprise encompassing 38,000+ people. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Management with an Accounting specialization from DeVry University and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.
Chris moved to Arizona 17 years ago. He loves spending time with his family, which usually involves driving their RV throughout the southwestern United States.
Corbin has been a Warehouse Assistant with Spirit Electronics for 5 years. He expertly ensures our stock arrives and departs the warehouse dock meeting our customer requirements accurately and efficiently. Born in Reno, Corbin moved to Arizona at age 3 and grew up here in Phoenix. When not grounded by an ESD strap, he enjoys time relaxing with friends and family.
Dan joined the Spirit Electronics team as a Product Pricing Specialist in October 2018 an grew to become an account representative. He is new to the aerospace and electronics industry and excited to learn all aspects of it. Dan spent over 12 years in the furniture industry where he did everything from merchandising to accounting and operations. He is looking forward to building strong relationships with our suppliers and working closely with them to help Spirit Electronics grow.
Dan is a native Phoenician and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Danny is originally from Globe, Arizona. He started his career in aerospace Quality Assurance as a company representative to the U.S. Coast Guard in the sale of satellite navigations systems. Since then, he worked in all aspects of supply chain management—Quality, Planning, Purchasing, Document Control, and Warehouse Management.
Danny is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served as a communications/navigations systems technician for fixed-winged aircraft.
He is married with three grown daughters and six grandchildren. Danny enjoys physical fitness, cooking, and writing.
Desmond is a recent Phoenix transplant from the middle of the Pacific. While new to his role as quality analyst for Spirit Electronics, his career comes packed with 5 years of experience working as a multi-disciplined language/SIGINT analyst for the DOD. He enjoys challenges and solving problems and is excited to put his expertise to good use in this new role.
In his free time, Desmond enjoys painting, strength and endurance training, cooking, learning new languages, yoga, and dwelling on past social faux pas.
Estefania stepped into her dream job at Spirit working as our Quality Assurance Analyst, and quickly moved up to Quality Manager. She began her quality career in the automotive industry, realizing she enjoyed her role in audits, process efficiency, and product quality assurance. Her professional career has also spanned accounting and human resources positions, giving her a unique perspective on how company roles combine to build an effective team. She is excited to lead the Spirit quality management system to new efficiencies and improvements to meet our customers’ needs for product reliability and timely delivery.
Estefania is originally from Ecuador and moved to Arizona after obtaining her bachelor’s in Management Engineering from Polytechnic Salesian University of Ecuador.
Ezra comes to Spirit as a recent graduate with majors in Operations Management and Management Information Systems. After a year of industry experience in Seattle, Washington, he recently relocated to Phoenix to start his next chapter at Spirit. His educational background in the Supply Chain Industry drives his determination to help the company grow in whatever ways possible.
Ezra enjoys keeping active with bowling, ping pong, and enjoying the outdoors.
Heather joined Spirit Electronics in April 2019 as a pricing specialist and quickly became a wonderful resource for both our sales team and suppliers.
She was promoted to the role of Account Representative where she now directly supports customers.
Heather brings an extensive background of sales support, customer service and pricing strategies that contribute to maintaining the high quality of service for which Spirit Electronics is known.
Senior Contracts Manager
Ivan is a Senior Contracts Manager at Spirit Electronics. He has over 10 years of experience in distribution and supply chain. Ivan is responsible for customer interactions and communications and also works on all customer reporting and analytics. Ivan also is responsible for all new program implementations.
In 2005, Ivan obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University with a certificate in International Business. Ivan resides in Mesa, Arizona, and has 3 children.
Jeremy is a 22-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force who served in the aviation maintenance sector. He relocated to the Phoenix area in 2012 and retired from the Air Force in February 2021. He brings his knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean principles to the Spirit warehouse.
Jeremy is an avid hockey fan, player and coach. He enjoys coaching youth hockey and mentoring. He instills values of teamwork, pride, and a thirst to improve their game. When Jeremy is not on the ice, he enjoys attending professional hockey games with his family and friends.
Karly has over four years of warehouse and inventory experience in different industries. Spirit is her first introduction to aerospace and electronics, and she is thrilled to experience first-hand the innovative and advanced technology that comes through Spirit’s doors.
Karly began with Spirit as a Warehouse Associate, moved into a role as Sales Support for our sales team, and excelled, receiving a promotion to Account Representative.
Karly was born and raised in Phoenix, and when she is not working she spends most of her time having fun with her daughter.
Kelly is a Senior Buyer at Spirit Electronics with over 20 years’ experience in Purchasing in a multitude of industries including Food Manufacturing, Healthcare, Automotive and Audio Video production and installations. She enjoys building relationships with suppliers and partnering with them to strengthen our supply chain. She has a Bachelors Degree in IT Management and several IT certifications.
Originally from St. Louis, MO, Kelly moved to Phoenix four years ago. She is the mother of two wonderful, grown children and a few furry animals. She loves to travel and take adventures and most recently fell in love with the RV life.
Senior customer service
Laura currently serves as Senior Customer Service for Spirit Electronics. She has more than 37 years in the electronics and aerospace industry. She worked for Siemens Corporation from 1980 until 1992 when she joined Spirit Electronics. Laura is the liaison between the customer and our franchised suppliers and provides prompt, courteous and solutions-oriented customer service. Laura leads the way for all account managers within Spirit with her incomparable ability to educate and cultivate the Spirit culture of kindness, respect, leadership and teamwork.
She is a native of Phoenix, AZ and enjoys the many opportunities that Arizona offers.
Field Sales Account Manager
Mark has had more than 20 years’ experience in the semiconductor and electronics industries. Recently he held the position of Regional Manager at Micross Components and Vice President of Sales at Electronic Components Inc. He has extensive experience in the development and management of internal sales teams and distribution/rep networks. Mark started his career as a component engineer at Raytheon Company and studied Electrical Engineering at Northeastern University.
Megan has more than 15 years of experience in customer service and business administration. In her current role at Spirit, Megan is responsible for managing our ERP system JD Edwards. She has excelled at programming workflows and giving the team tools and improvements to essential Spirit operations. Megan was previously a Senior Account Representative developing and maintaining customer relationships. She strives to provide superior customer satisfaction through excellent communication and the capability to fulfill every need.
Born and raised in Chicago, Megan moved to Scottsdale in 2015 to enjoy the gorgeous weather and beautiful scenery.
Nick joins the Spirit team fresh out of college with a BS in electrical engineering with an emphasis in robotics. After moving to Phoenix from Seattle, WA, to pursue education, he decided to stay and joined the Spirit family as a test engineer. Nick’s passion for problem solving starts in the First Robotics Competition (FRC) from the team 3663.
Nick enjoys spending quality time with friends and long walks on the beach.
Nicolette is new to the Phoenix area, having moved here in the beginning of 2020 from northern Illinois. Coming from a background in Automotive sales, she is also new to the aerospace and electronics distribution industry and is thrilled to be part of our family and ready to learn everything she can.
Strategic Account Manager
Patty has been an Arizona resident for over 30 years originally from Syracuse, New York . Patty was formerly a co-owner of OCM Recycle West in Tolleson, AZ. OCM Recycle West (OCM) is a small, woman-owned business servicing the Phoenix metropolitan area and greater Arizona. OCM’s mission is to Responsibly recycle electronic items, keeping as much as possible out of landfills, create employment for local area residents and help the local community.
She has traveled extensively all over the world in her Director of Strategic Customers role at Microsemi selling memory to the military. Patty served 6 years on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce and was Chair of the Board in 2016.
Patty currently sits on the board of Meals of Joy, a nonprofit organization that supplies affordable or free meals to our senior citizens in the Southwest Valley. She is on the Executive Board of Hope Community Services. Hope Community Services’ (formerly West Valley Child Crisis Center) mission is to create lasting solutions for children and families by providing innovative programs to foster safe and healthy communities within Arizona.
Patty was also a Honorary Commander for Luke Air Force Base and has graduated to the The Blue Blazer Squadron (BBS), an Alumni Association of the Honorary Commanders Committee of Fighter Country Partnership (FCP), that shall provide support for the men and women of Luke Air Force Base through FCP, and shall be the prominent volunteer force representing FCP in the community.
Strategic Account Manager
Sean joined the Spirit Electronics team in July of 2018 as a Sales Associate. He brings with him a diverse background in professional sales, marketing, customer service, business development & management. Sean worked for Microsemi Corporation (formerly White Electronic Designs) as a Sales Associate for 8 years and then took a slight detour to open an award-winning restaurant in Mesa, AZ. Sean is excited to return to the world of microelectronics and to be on board with Spirit Electronics! In his role, Sean will be seeking out new opportunities and building relationships with our customers, while supporting their procurement and design needs.
Sean is an Arizona native and enjoys cooking, swimming, music and most of all, spending time with his wonderful family.
Terrence is originally from Washington, D.C., and moved to Arizona in 2008. He served in the US Air Force in the aircraft maintenance field. He has also studied computer information systems at Estrella Community College. He brings 5 years of warehouse experience in receiving and inventory control to his role with Spirit.
Terrence enjoys playing video games, playing chess, attending sporting events, and spending time with his daughter and family.
Terri has worked in marketing for high reliability electronics companies in the mil-aero sector for 30 years, including White Electronic Designs and Microsemi. Excited to be part of the dynamic Team Spirit, she manages the website, PR, advertising, social media and other marketing functions to support the team. She finds the continually evolving technology, especially in the aerospace industry, absolutely fascinating.
Terri is an Arizona native who loves gardening, painting and spending time with her family. Her father was a pilot who taught American, French and British cadets during WWII, sparking her lifelong interest in aviation.
SMI Account Representative
After serving honorably in the US Marine Corp as a helicopter mechanic, Thomas earned a Bachelors in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Masters in Forensic Psychology from Grand Canyon University. His educational background was integral to his success in helping veterans accomplish their educational goals for the past 6 years. He joined Spirit Electronics in October 2019, new to the aerospace and electronics industry, and excited to develop and maintain customer relationships. He enjoys CrossFit, hiking, and spending time with his family outdoors.
Zac joins Spirit with a quality assurance background earned during military service. Zac served 23 years in the U.S. Navy and Army and still serves in the National Guard. He has worked on both sides of the DoD contracting world and has experience in Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDTE) and requirements.
