GOMACTech was established primarily to review developments in microcircuit applications for government systems. Established in 1968, the conference has focused on advances in systems being developed by the Department of Defense and other government agencies and has been used to announce major government microelectronics initiatives such as VHSIC and MIMIC, and provides a forum for government reviews.

Spirit Electronics Adds High-Reliability VPT Components

PHOENIX, Ariz. (October 7, 2019) – Value-added distributor Spirit Electronics expands its offering of high reliability product lines with the addition of VPT Components, which manufactures semiconductors for critical applications in the harshest of environments. 

VPT provides high-reliability discrete semiconductor products for the military, defense, satellite and aerospace industries. Their growing product portfolio includes MIL-PRF-19500 qualified transistors and diodes. Custom products and packaging services are also available.

VPT’s transistor product portfolio includes NPN and PNP small signal bipolar and medium and high-power switching; Silicon Controlled Rectifiers; NPN and PNP qualified radiation hardened transistors; MOSFETS, and JANHC and JANKC qualified chips. All bipolar transistor products are qualified to MIL-PRF-19500 slash sheets and are offered in JAN, JANTX, JANTXV, JANS, and JANSR quality levels where applicable.

The VPT diode product portfolio includes zeners, general purpose switching diodes, temperature compensated zener reference diodes, Schottky diodes, current regulator diodes and JANHC and JANKC qualified diode chip products.

Spirit Electronics to Offer Susumu Thin Film Resistors

Spirit Electronics today announced a distribution agreement with Susumu International Inc., a specialist in thin film technologies and thin film resistors. Susumu develops and manufactures metal thin film chip resistorswith high precision, high reliability and high power characteristics.

Susumu’s RG Series thin film resistors are rated as the most reliable, accurate and precise thin film resistors in the industry. Susumu’s products are all RoHS compliant and the company is accredited for ISO9001, 14001 and TS16949.

Spirit Electronics will also be selling Susumu’s KRL Series metal foil low resistance chip resistor, the most precise current sensing resistor on the market. It has smaller package sizes with more power than any of its competitors.

Efficient Power Conversion (EPC,) in partnership with Spirit Electronics, will provide manufacturing lot-specific data services for their industry-leading gallium nitride-based power devices.

Spirit Electronics announces a partnership with EPC to provide an expanded range of manufacturing lot-specific data services for their industry-leading enhancement-mode gallium nitride (GaN) devices.

“Our partnership with Spirit Electronics provides the opportunity for EPC to complement Spirit’s extensive history and proven successful track record in working with defense and aerospace customers,” commented Alex Lidow, CEO and co-founder of EPC. “Offering lot-specific data services related to our eGaN power semiconductor products will enable us to bring additional value to these demanding applications.”
